About the Author
Elizabeth Pulsford is a high school English and Performing Arts teacher and mum to 18-month-old Harriet. Her love of writing was first fostered as a child during long car trips, when her family caravanned around Australia for a year. She aims to write stories that ignite children's curiosity, imaginations, and growing sense of adventure.
But Why? is Elizabeth's debut picture book, with a second on the way in 2023.
About the Illustrator
Francisco Fonseca is a Portuguese artist and illustrator best known for his epic and intricate drawings of European houses, towns and landscapes.
Francisco has painted several wall murals in his home town and regularly teaches drawing classes in person and online.
But Why? Is his third children's book. His first children's book, Just a Rabbit, received high praise internationally, and his second children's book, April's Window, featured on the Duchess of York's YouTube channel 'Stories with Fergie and Friends'.
