    2025 FDC Coordinator Reflective Journal

The diary for educators who want more than a diary - they want a tool for ongoing reflection.

    The story behind our journals

In 2013, we began creating reflective journals. We were frustrated with diaries that just didn't cut it, and decided to make our own. Over the last decade, we have been evolving these reflective journals in response to changes within the sector, educator feedback and our own experiences. We've heard from thousands of educators who have used the reflective journals and found them to be a game-changer when it comes to staying organised and continuing to reflect on their practice.

Who is this reflective journal for?

The 2025 FDC Coordinator Reflective Journal is designed for Nominated Supervisors, Directors or Centre Managers in centre based care.

    The journal includes:

    • Acknowledging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Culture through the 8 Ways (with the guidance of Uncle Wayne Anderson)
    • Goals and Vision for 2025
    • Reading/Watching/Listening List
    • Professional learning record
    • Professional learning notes
    • Advocacy Record
    • Educator Overview
    • Theorist Overview
    • Monthly Overview Page with significant dates and a monthly calendar
    • Weekly Plan Double Page - with daily space, inspirational quote, key tasks and weekly reflection questions
    • Monthly Record of Discussions with Educators
    • Monthly Reflections: Reflections on the EYLF (FDC Specific) Reflections on Leadership and Wellbeing Prompt
    • Embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Perspectives monthly page
    • Ribbon bookmark

How do I use the journal?

We have provided a few sample pages for each journal type so that you can see the style and layout of the journals.

This year, we are also offering every Reflective Journal owner access to a FREE Online Course which explores the importance of reflective practice, as well as practical strategies for using your Reflective Journal throughout the year.

When will I get my order

Every year we open up pre-orders in July/August. We commence printing in September and shipping in October. We receive thousands of orders each year, and as you can imagine, printing, binding and packing each of these orders is a HUGE task.

Pre-orders (those ordered before 24th August 2024) will be shipped in October. After this, we will work through standard orders based on when the order was placed. You will receive a notification when your order is on its way.
