Eucalyptus

Eucalyptus trees are tall, evergreen trees that can grow up to 150 metres in height and are also known as Gum Trees. The main chemical components of Eucalyptus Radiata are eucalyptol and alpha-terpineol, making it an ideal oil to diffuse or apply topically for that distinct fresh, clean, and calming scent of Eucalyptus oil. Eucalyptus has cleansing properties that can be beneficial for the skin and for cleansing surfaces. Eucalyptus is often used to promote a sense of calmness and balance.

Uses

  • Combine with Lemon and Peppermint in a spray bottle and use to wipe down surfaces in your kitchen or bathroom.

  • Add one drop to moisturiser and apply to revitalise the appearance of your skin.

  • While showering, place a few drops in your hands, place over nose, and inhale deeply for a feeling of aromatic invigoration and vitality.

Directions for Use

Diffusion: Use three to four drops in the diffuser of choice.

Topical use: Apply one to two drops to desired area. Dilute with a carrier oil to minimise any skin sensitivity. See additional precautions below.

Lemon Eucalyptus

Lemon Eucalyptus essential oil is derived from a lemon-scented blue gum eucalypti plant, a tall tree with smooth bark. It is known for its refreshing aroma, ideal to create a clean scented, and invigorating environment.

Uses

  • Diffuse to encourage a positive environment with this bright, fresh scent.

  • Add it to your diffuser blends to balance the sweetness of floral or the intensity of citrus aromas.

Diffusion: Use three to four drops in the diffuser of your choice.

Lemon Myrtle

Native to Australia, lemon myrtle has long been used by Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander people as part of their diet. Lemon Myrtle essential oil is distilled from the citrus scented leaves of the subtropical lemon myrtle plant. Lemon Myrtle essential oil has a calming and relaxing aroma.

Uses

  • Try diffusing for a calming and relaxing aroma.

  • Add a drop of Lemon Myrtle essential oil to your water for a refreshing taste.

Directions for Use

Diffusion: Use three to four drops in the diffuser of choice.

Food flavour use: Add 1 to 2 drops to food.

Litsea

Litsea cubeba is an evergreen tree or shrub belonging to the Lauraceae family. Its fruit produces Litsea—a lemon-like essential oil with a wide range of aromatic uses. Being native to East Asia, Litsea has a long history of traditional use by the indigenous people of Taiwan and has been widely distributed in Japan, Taiwan, Southern China, and Southeastern Asia. Due to its high content of geranial and neral, Litsea has many surface cleansing properties. Geranial and neral are also found in Melissa and Lemongrass and have very similar scents and properties. When diffused, Litsea can promote feelings of fresh energy to your day.

Uses

  • Diffuse or apply one to two drops to a scarf or shawl to promote feelings of balance throughout the day.

  • Create your own blend by combining with complimentary oils such as Lavender, Ylang Ylang, Rose, Sandalwood, Frankincense, Geranium, Vetiver, or Fennel.

  • Diffuse during meditation to help clear your mind and rejuvenate energy.

Directions for Use

Food additive use: Dilute drop in 120 mL of liquid.

Tea Tree

Tea Tree essential oil has over 92 different compounds and limitless applications.The leaves of the Tea Tree tree were used by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples for centuries. They would apply crushed leaves directly to the skin for a cooling effect.Tea Tree essential oil is best known for its cleansing properties. It can be used to cleanse and clarify the skin and nails, and support a healthy looking complexion. Diffusing Tea Tree essential oil will help freshen the scent of the air.Primary Benefit | Cool and cleansing. Tea Tree is known for its antibacterial properties; it can be applied to the skin when necessary.Secondary Benefit | Tea Tree essential oil contains a compound known to naturally repel insects.Tertiary Benefit | Tea Tree’s antibacterial effects make it a good alternative to traditional cleaners. Add a few drops to a spray bottle with water and use on surfaces around the home. 

Uses

  • For topical skin application, apply one or two drops of Tea Tree essential oil in a carrier oil onto area.
  • Combine one or two drops with your facial cleanser, as Tea Tree is known for its cleansing properties, or apply to skin after shaving.
  • Apply to fingernails and toenails after showering to cleanse and keep nails looking healthy.
  • Add a few drops to a spray bottle with water and use on surfaces as a cleaner around the home.
